What is Rahab's House?
Fairview Presbyterian Church, Vancouver http://www.fairviewchurch.ca/ sent a team to Cambodia in May 2008. We worked with a well respected NGO, Aim4Asia, to renovate what was once a "child brothel" into a school/ministry centre, which is linked to the work of the "Agape Restoration Center."
Rahab's House is located just 11 kilometers outside of Phnom Penh, in a small village called Svay Pak. Svay Pak looks like an average village in this developing country, but hidden beneath the surface is hideous evil…the sexual trafficking of girls.
This building was one of the brothels raided in 2003 by International Justice Mission et al as seen on the NBC Dateline Special on child prostitution in Cambodia.
The Field Team's mission trip was from May 3, 2008 until May 18, 2008. They attempted to document their experiences and work on this daily diary.
